About Treme Place

More Than a Place to Stay.

Built around 1900 and thoughtfully restored, Treme Place blends historic New Orleans character with the comfort, reliability, and warmth today's travelers deserve.

A Welcome from the Owners

We created Treme Place with a passion for beautiful spaces and a belief that where you stay should feel as welcoming as home.

Every apartment was thoughtfully designed to be the kind of place we would choose ourselves—a space to work comfortably, unwind after a long day, and experience the character and soul of New Orleans.

Whether you're visiting for business, relocating, working on assignment, or simply exploring one of America's most unique cities, we hope Treme Place becomes part of your story and that your stay leaves you with wonderful memories of New Orleans.

Our Story

Built to Endure

Built around 1900, Treme Place began as a double shotgun—a distinctly New Orleans home made up of two long, narrow residences beneath one roof, with rooms arranged one behind the next.

The style earned its name from the idea that, with every door open, you could look straight from the front of the house to the back.

For more than a century, this house has endured the heat, storms, and changing seasons of New Orleans. Its longevity reflects both its location on comparatively high ground and the remarkable craftsmanship of another era, when homes were built with dense, old-growth lumber and made to last.

Today, its furnished apartments have been thoughtfully restored and updated for modern comfort while preserving the architectural character that makes the house unmistakably New Orleans.

The result is more than a place to stay. It is a genuine home away from home, filled with history, warmth, and soul.

The Design

Designed with a New Orleans Heart

The interiors of Treme Place were created by award-winning designer Natasha Muller, founder of Smart Space. A New Orleans native now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Natasha brings together a refined design perspective with a deep appreciation for the city's architecture, color, texture, and unmistakable spirit.

Known for creating spaces where luxury, comfort, and function exist in harmony, Natasha designed each apartment to blend historic character with thoughtfully selected furnishings, expressive details, and the practical conveniences needed for everyday living.

Every apartment has its own personality, but all share the same purpose: to create a balanced, welcoming home where guests can settle in comfortably while experiencing an authentic sense of New Orleans.

“The best compliment we can receive is when guests tell us Treme Place felt like home.”

Every decision, from the restoration of this historic home to the furnishings, artwork, and amenities inside each apartment, was made with one goal in mind: creating a place where guests can truly settle in, relax, and experience New Orleans as more than just visitors.

The Brothers Behind Treme Place

Treme Place is owned by brothers Roberto and Allan Graves.

Roberto built his career in enterprise technology, while Allan transitioned from financial technology into tourism and hospitality.

Both are passionate travelers who understand that working remotely does not always have to mean working from your permanent address. Sometimes, “working from home” can mean finding a better home somewhere else.

Together, they set out to create the kind of furnished apartments they would want for themselves: spaces with reliable comforts for working, real kitchens for everyday living, peaceful rooms for getting a good night's sleep, and enough character to make the experience memorable.

They found that home in one of America's most historic, distinctive, and joyfully unconventional cities, just a short walk from the music, food, architecture, and energy that make New Orleans unlike anywhere else.

“We created Treme Place to be the kind of home we would choose ourselves.”
